The world’s wars are won with massive war machines, referred to as Wanzers in the year 2090. Huffman Island, the only island where you can find the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) as well as the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) have a shared land border that is an area of intense conflict.

An O.C.U. reconnaissance platoon led by Captain Royd Clive is tasked to look into the activities of a U.C.S. munitions plant. It is the U.C.S. are able to ambush the. Wanzers. They trigger a chain of events that sends the entire island into war. Royd’s fiancee, Lieutenant Karen Meure, goes missing in action.

Retired from the military Royd decides to explore the circumstances surrounding what happened to Karen. His quest leads him closer and closer to the conspiracy that led to the tragedy and the operatives who orchestrated it.

With dozens of characters to get to know, its mature story as well as non-Manichean characters, Front Mission is one of the best examples of the strategic Japanese RPG style, and is now being made widely available.
