Wayward Strand is an affecting emotional narrative game made up of a variety of distinct threads that unfold simultaneously in an air-borne hospital during the 1970s Australia.
The game Wayward Strand you play as Casey Beaumaris, a teenage girl that is in Hospital for the first time. Through three days, she’ll explore the history of the ship, its experiences of its residents, and how they relate to each other.
After arriving, she is able to look around the cabins of the ship’s odd and lovely residents. She’ll be able to pick the people she’d like to spend her time with as well as get acquainted with them. You can shadow staff members as you look around. Or go on a tour of the vessel and discover the dark history of the ship.
Residents of the hospital include an assortment of characters with some who are delightful, while others are strange, some a bit rude each one with his own set of desires dreams, ambitions and goals. They are free to do what they like in complete independence of any player’s character.
Over the course of three days Casey is on board the vessel as she is on board, her fellow passengers have their own lives to tell – stories which she can examine. Each person moves and behaves in their own way with their own unique timeline and sharing information with each the other, sharing opinions, or arguing with each other, joking and gossiping or having a chat with Casey at times when she is passing by.
Casey will be exploring her airship’s numerous stories to find out how her actions can have an impact on them.
