Front Mission 1st Remake Game Review

It is 2090 and world wars are fought with massive war machines known as Wanzers. Huffman Island, the only island where you can find the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) have a shared land border that is a hotbed of conflict.

An O.C.U. reconnaissance squadron led by Captain Royd Clive has been assigned to look into the location of a U.C.S. munitions plant. The forces are attacked by U.C.S. They are surrounded by U.C.S. The Wanzers. This triggers a chain of events that plunge the entire island into war. Royd’s fiancee, Lieutenant Karen Meure, goes missing in action.

Retired from the military Royd decides to explore what transpired to Karen. He is closer to the truth as well as the people responsible.

With hundreds of characters to encounter, its mature narrative, and non-Manichean protagonists, Front Mission is one of the best examples of the tactical Japanese RPG, now being made widely available.
